Dining in Hua Hin, Thailand:
Food is generally excellent whether dining in street cafes or more upmarket restaurants. Some options we have found to be very good include:
Bird Chilli offers good quality, inexpensive food. It is located at the left hand side on the top end of market street (the railway end).
Moon Smile and Platoo is inexpensive, extremely popular and usually has a queue waiting to dine. It is best to book if possible. Refer to a local map for the location.
Coco 51 has good food and live entertainment at reasonable prices. It is a seaside restaurant so ask the hotel to book you a seaside table. Coco 51 is a 5-6 minute tuk tuk ride from the Centara hotel.
Mekong Café has excellent Vietnamese cuisine and is owned by the same people as Coco 51 but has lower pricing. Mekong Café has recently moved to a new location near the Hua Hin Village Shopping Centre and is only 4 minutes by tuk tuk from the Centara Hotel.
Cicada Market is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and offers relaxed and inexpensive, informal eating. You can buy tickets at the entry booth for purchase of food from various food stalls. Cicada Market has an interesting local craft market (different from other night markets) and is only an 8 minute tuk tuk ride from Centara Hotel.
